We are writing a new application based around the dot net lucene search engine. When it runs on the local hard drive it has full-trust rights and it can open index files on the server. When it runs with the search.exe and the lucene.net.dll on the remote SAMBA file server, it fails to be able to open the data files. This does not change even when we place that server in the intranet zone, or give full trust to the .net.dll and the .exe.
We need to provide this application to all our customers, so we need to be able to advise them when they install this on a file server, what permissions that the client desktop will require.
Thanks,
Karl
