I'm auditing an AS/400 system and I found one field "System Created On" in "Display Object Description" report. What is that field for? Is it referring to where the object was created/modified or is it referring to where the object is current located? I really appreciate for the help.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Yes, it is referring to the where the object was created. So if you purchase software or a developer downloads or bring in his own objects, it will identify that the object was not created on the current system.

It the name of the system the object was created or compiled on.
Say you created a file or program on MACHINE_A.  If you took a backup tape to another system, MACHINE_B,  and restored the data/object/library there, the object description data those would show they were created on MACHINE_A. This way you know the object came from an outside source.
