Hi,
  1. Is it possible, and/or advisable to use different size disks in a RAID 5 array?
  2. If I have 2 arrays  each of 6 disks, all the same size, the first array being RAID 5 and want to use the second as a backup of the first, how would be the best way to configure the 2nd?
  3. Is it possible to partition the RAID 5 as 3 different sized volumes?
  4. How would that (3 above) effect the backup configuration (2 above)?

Software/Hardware used:
Mac OS X 10.10; 1st array 12TB Promise Pegasus R6 Thunderbolt2, 2nd array same but TB 1.
