FAT32 does not have the security that NTFS provides, so if you have a FAT32 partition or volume on your computer, any user who has access to your computer can read any file on it. FAT32 also has size limitations, and you cannot store a file larger than 4GB on a FAT32 partition

    Hi,

    Disadvantage of FAT32 file system are as follows:

    ·         FAT32 volume is not accessible from any other Operating system like Windows 95 / Windows 98, as FAT are used in Windows 95/ 98 including all below versions of Windows OS.

    ·         The largest FAT32 volume Windows 2000 can format is limited in size to 32 GB so, you cannot store file having size larger than 4GB.

    ·         There is no built-in file system security or compression with FAT32.

    ·         Also, the boot sector is not backed up in FAT32 as compared to NTFS.
