Hello everyone, Last night, Windows 10 rebooted itself and I lost everything that I was working on. It's a huge issue. Can I just disable its automatic reboots? I do a ton of rebooting manually so this isn't needed. Is this possible? Thank you so much.

WIndows does not usually reboot on it’s own. Usually it’s due to an OS update that it requires and it will ask if you want to reboot now or later. There was an emergency patch earlier this week before the normal “Patch Tuesday” ones take place. You can disable automatic updates but it’s not recommended.

Have you updated before? Launch the task scheduler. Go to task scheduler library/Microsoft/Windows/Update orchestrator. Now right click on the task named reboot. Select disable. Or check if the active hours in update and security.

Have you installed a good antivirus? Sometimes, it can be happened by virus activities also. Check for viruses and make sure that the system is virus free.
