Currently I'm working using AS/400 system. I've work for few years and not really understand what different between *MODULE, *SRVPGM and *PGM. Sometimes I was just compiled the program as module type, or *PGM type. Seems like I was doing without understand it. Can someone actually explain for me what is the different of it? For my understanding, if compiled as module type, those program who calling this module have to recompile if any changes done to this module. Thanks a lot.

Service Program - Contains Procedures which can be used by Programs.
Program - Executable objects which is designed to perform specific action.
