Detecting an application as a XenDesktop session

I'm trying to find out if one of my applications is running on a XenDesktop session rather than locally. This is what I've figured out so far:
  • We currently have a code to detect a Citrix XenApp session but that solution is returning WTSClientProtocolType which is a local console session.
  • Then we tried to check the sessionname environment variable but that is coming back as 'Console'
Does anyone know to detect the application as a XenDesktop session and not locally?
