I'm running Microsoft Outlook 2016 on a Mac. I have a bunch of built-in folders that I never use so I deleted them locally. But they returned immediately. Is there a way to delete them completely or even hide them? Thanks so much.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I don’t think you can remove any of the default folders. You could try and create a new folder called something like unused then drag and drop the ones you do not use to it. I think if you try to delete them they get added back in if not found during an update.

If understood correctly, First of all take backups of your outlook folder/mails etc. Then you can try this, you can try to drag the folder(s) to the Trashcan in the Dock. Or right click on the folder and select Move to Trash from the context list. However you may not able to delete system folders.
