I want to get a job as a full stack developer but I have very little experience and little funding. I do have my AS degree so I wouldnt be starting from scratch. Should I go for a degree or certification? Do employers consider certifications the same as a degree?

You want to get a job as a full stack developer, but are you working now? If yes, which filed? What is your educational qualification? No, certificate & degree is not the same. A degree has more value than certificate.

It's a tough one to say for sure... Some may want the certification skills. Others want the the higher degree..Years ago a applied to a company with an AS in data processing. A friend had a BS in fine arts. We were applying for a entry level programming position, we took the test. I scored about 7 points higher than her but she got the job. Why a 4 year degree vs a 2 year. Even though hers was in a different field of study. No on can figure out what companies are thinking.

Moreover, if you are an expert on particular field, then certification (global) is much more helpful to get a job on the same field. However certification must be more practical oriented can be preferable.
