Are CRACs and Evaporative cooling the 2 main technologies for Data Center cooling? How does the upfront vs. opex compare for these and are there any constraints for Evaporative cooling that one should consider e.g., based on seasons, geography etc? Thanks

Data centers are installing energy-efficient equipment and water-saving cooling towers. The faster heat removal makes it more efficient and economical. People are converting this heat energy to other forms of energy.

Both models - Opex and Capex exist. It all depends on business model and financial constraints. Definitely, in any case opex will always be there.
