Cursor line positioning on a subfile

This subfile has about 60 records showing 10 per screen. I've got it going to the desired line on the initial display (1st open field but not a field in the heading). Now I PageDown and cursor stays on the same line number (it doesn't return control to the program), so I'm unable to set it to a different line on the next screen. Any tips on what else I can try ? Bad that cursor can be on an output-only line later in the subfile. Base system is Movex so please don't suggest that I switch this one program to not build the entire subfile. I know I'm giving few details ... just hoping for ideas, not a complete solution.

TMI - Cursor line is set via a field named WCLIN. For the initial screen, I increment WCLIN to be the first that is input-capable regardless of which variation is showing. Now I do a RollUp but the first several records on that next screen are not input-capable. Control stays in the subfile, not going to the next program line after the EXFMT.

If control is not returned to the program, I can't think of anything that can be done.

Though you're using Movex, is either the display file or the program yours (written in-house)?

Without knowing the function of the program and what you are trying to accomplish we can only make guesses. I agree with
Raven, without returning control I think there is very little you will be able to do.

Program and screen are not ours but are heavily modified.

My guess is you're thinking about changing the subfile to build just one "screen" at a time. I considered that but BAD to have one program that has a different process. It's nice that all screen programs are similar in style.

    Thanks for the replies
