One possible way:
Create the PF and LF objects on the iSeries, then go into Access and create a new database. Once created, choose File, Get External Data, Link Tables. From the dialog, choose an ODBC object pointed to the iSeries, and select the PF and/or LF objects. This will make the tables visible in the Access database. If the ODBC driver is set correctly, you will be able to report AND DO ANY OTHER FUNCTIONS THE USER IS AUTHORIZED TO including deleting records…(be careful with this!!!) These tables can be used just like any other MS access tables.
