Why does my COUNTIF for the middle row not come up with the right counts?

Why does my COUNTIF for the middle tow not come up with the right counts?

The first on and last one are OK, but they only have one condition.

=COUNTIF(D6:D38,"<30") ' -- OK

=COUNTIF(D6:D38,"<60")-COUNTIF(D6:D38,">29") ' -- counts double?

=COUNTIF(D6:D38,"<=89")-COUNTIF(D6:D38,">=60") ' -- counts double?

=COUNTIF(D:D,">90") ' -- OK

They are in each cell.

So 4 cells has each

=COUNTIF(J2:J34,”<60″) – COUNTIF(J2:J34<b>,”<=29″)</b>

It's hard to tell without looking at the actual data and the results you are getting. I would put each COUNTIF in a separate cell to see if they give the correct result individually.

I just had someone else point out to me on the two that are comparing to do this and it seems to work.

I mean, put =COUNTIF(J2:J34,"<60") in one cell and COUNTIF(J2:J34,"<=29") in another cell, and check the results. Also, please let us know what you mean by 'counts double'.
