Hi, I recently started a blog on TMD Hosting service, and I wanted to know if this could have affected my home internet connection? About a month after I started my blog, 2 of the devices using my home internet connection started having connection issues, and I wanted to know if this could have been the cause? A lot of info would be appreciated, I feel terrible about this! Thanks

What OS is there? Is it up-to-date? Is there antivirus installed? If yes, is it also updated? Do you believe on that house (TMD Hosting service)? Are they reputed? Is the house asks for any password (email/ social media etc/ bank account no,etc) by any chance? What terms & conditions they applied that you agreed to write blogs for them ? Do they ask for remote connection for your system? A lot of things depend on your question.

OS As in my operating system? It's an apple up to date so it is the newest MAC OSX, As for the hosting service, they are a bit smaller and less known, I did not write blogs FOR them, they are a hosting service that will allow me to create a website of my own and pay them to host it on their servers. They did not ask for remote connection.

How did you pay them either through bank transfer or other way? As it is Mac OSX, have you updated the system, if any ? After writing blogs, have you changed the all necessary passwords? Hopefully there is no such case after you start writing. You can secure your connection by only surfing https related websites.

I’m not sure this is the answer I’m looking for . I was just wondering if someone using a hosting service like bluebird or tmd to host a wordpress blog could have caused their home internet connection to be slowed?

According to your information, there is very less chance or almost No, that can affect your connection. If you did not share your personal information. You can secure your connection by using VPN. You might consider to use an online VPN service to protect to your communications.

I guess it depends on how you connection is set up.Is everything needed for your blog stored on the hosting site or does it need to access your system for things like images or any databases?  You could always run a speed test and where you stand. If way below what you are expecting you can contact your ISP and have them run a test. You could have a hardware issue.

Personal blogs etc. are less secured. While vendor's official website is more secured and there is less chance to hack personal data. However it is better to avoid online fund transfer etc,
