Control-M on iSeries

Does anyone use Control-M with iSeries? I have a small CL program that a manager wants in Control-M. He says that I will have to return a completion code, either a "1" for a failed condition or an "0" for successful completion. I've never worked with a job scheduler that required a completion code be returned to it for a completion status. How do I code for it as I am at a loss.  I am not a programmer so I really don't have a clue on how I can code for this.

I haven't seen Control-M usage on IBM i. But it's not clear what you mean by "return a completion code". The terms "return" and "completion code" can both have multiple meanings, and one common interpretation excludes CL as the source language.

Please provide a specific example of how a "completion code" would be accessed or used. Perhaps show an example function that "returns" a '0'/'1' value in the needed form. Values may be "returned" in multiple forms, some of which aren't directly supported by CL, i.e., some non-CL wrapper might be needed.
