Hey guys maybe I'm not understanding something here just want to make sure I'm thinking right. ok I have a pix, a 2821 and a 3845. The pix is configured and already has an insdie/outside interface. What I'm doing is going to add another inside interface on the pix and connect the 2821 to it and from the 2821 connect it to my 3845. The pix and 3845 are existing the new piece of equipment is the 2821. I always thought inorder to connect them I need a Ip address between the pix and 2821 and the 2821 and the 3845. I'm being told all I need is one set of ip address between teh pix and 2821 because we are going to run bgp between the 2821 and the 3845 how does that work? am I missing something? I always thought you needed IP addresses for both.
Hi Gordon;
Thanks for responding I was talking to my partner and we are on the same page
now so the connectivity issue we have cleared up and like you said we need ips
To answer your question the 2821 is actually going to be sitting outside my network
off of my pix so it will connect as follows:
pix -> 2821 -> 3845 -> my internal network......so we are going to run eBGP between the
2821 and 3845
