Connection to personal Wi-Fi on a company laptop and company ability to see Wi-Fi traffic

Can my employer see my Wi-Fi traffic by me connecting to my personal Wi-Fi for work on the company laptop they assigned to me even though I'm not visiting sites that are not work related? My colleagues tell me the company can see all my Wi-Fi traffic even if I'm not visiting unapproved sites like Facebook from my work computer. It doesn't matter if I'm only visiting those sites from my personal computer and not my work laptop the company can still track which sites I visit. Is this true? My employer enables us to work from home through remote access.

First of all, this is an illegal activity or against the company's norms. They do an advantage for their own works, then you want to use it for your personal use. This is not a good activity for your future. If they review/ audit systems, they can trace your activities and you will become a sufferer.  So, ask them/ get their permissions whatever you want, and be loyal to your company.

I obviously did not explain myself correctly. I am not trying to abuse company equipment. I want to do my work at home using my personal wifi that I pay for. I don't have the luxury of adding another connection. many of my colleagues are using a hotspot from a cell phone and claim it is better because using the company issued laptop on my network enables them to gain access to everything on my network when connect to wifi. . Cell phone hot spot is not reliable therefore I am wanting to use my personal wifi for work. My worry is when I use my personal computer on my time off with my personal wifi it allows my employer to gain access to everything on my personal network. I would not dare use company equipment for anything not work related. I'm not tech savvy and wanted to get experienced people to answer my question and put an end to the rumors in the office. Just wanted to know if it was even possible for the company to use data gathered on my network to falsely accuse me of visiting sites That I utilize for my personal amusement that I visit on my personal laptop and not the company laptop.

If you are using your own paid wifi tariif and want to use this on company's laptop (as far as I understood), then you can use, but if they want to know the history they can or it is possible. If you don't have a good rapport with your management so ti is better not to use while you have good opportunity to use your own.
