Connecting computers wirelessly without Internet

How can I connect, from 4 to 6, computers wirelessly without using Internet? Currently I have a system that runs on a main desktop Mac and is also running on three MacBook laptops simultaneously. I currently use an Airport to connect the three MacBooks to my main Mac computer, via Ethernet cables. I want to eliminate the cables but still have the same connectivity without using Internet. We are commonly set up in buildings that are pretty much concrete black holes for Internet most of the time. If Internet is the only option to wirelessly connect these computers, what would be the best solution to eliminating the running of cables?

Just create a VLan with a static IP address, first on your router and then on your computers. You could always try this on Packet Tracer to see if the configuration is correct. Excellent program for things like this.
