Hello! I am building industrial control system in which I have two different networks consist of two Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC1 and PLC2), which communicate with several remote IO nodes (IO1.1, IO1.2 for PLC 1 and IO2.1, IO2.2 for PLC2). Each PLC and its IO devices have different network settings: 192.168.100.xx for PLC1 and IO1.x and 192.168.10.xx for PLC2 and IO2.x. PLC 1 and PLC 2 don't need to communicate with each other and with IO nodes of other PLC. But I want to interconnect all of them via one Cisco IE3000 L2 switch. Is it possible? Or should I use two different separate switches? Best regards, Alexander.
