Computers for artists?

I am looking into digital art, and am conflicted as to whether or not I should get a laptop plus a tablet (such as a wacom) or purchase an all-in-one laptop with a touchscreen that I can just draw on. The only thing I don't really want is a surface because I would rather have a keyboard attached to the computer.

Depending on what type of art you plan on doing a laptop may work for you. Just get a decent one a good processor i5 or better with a dedicated graphics card and a minimum of 8 gig RAM. If you plan on doing any 3D modeling then skip the laptop and go desktop. They have considerably more power for they money and you will definitely want a larger screen

Ah okay thank you. I only plan on doing 2D art anyways so that should work.

This question seems like that jobs are related to multimedia based and high resolution and of course big screen for clear view and pixelate. However Windows based PC is cost effective, but if you want perfect image/prominent view you can go for Apple Mac computer, though Mac is costlier than Windows computer.
