I have assigned a command button that would assign a specific width to each column in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. But I sent it to a friend and when we tried to use the command button, the widths were all different. It's the same characters fonts too. What's wrong here?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It could be a number of things like how did you create the command button? Did you send him the code for it?  Does he have any security issues with running macro on the spreadsheet. Worse case is have him select the entire sheet, select format > column width and set the value.

As you sent this Excel spreadsheet, to your friend, have you checked the version of MS Excel of your friend is same which you are using now. Sometimes OS is also an important matter for this issue. Please check all possibilities.
