Chromebook hinge is slightly damaged

The right hinge on my chromebook took some damage and now crocks when I open it. Should I just be extra careful and hope it does not get worse as time goes on or should I get it repaired as soon as possible? If I were to get it repaired what would the price be, the laptop works fine but the right hinge cracks when I open it.

You'll need to ask a repair shop to see what price they'll charge. You might repair it yourself if the vendor supplies service or repair manuals, and you can determine the specific repairs that are needed (e.g., plastic mounts for a 'hinge') and repair parts can be ordered.

As a software part this is not creating a problem probably. But as it is a outer part of your Chromebook it looks odd. Also the sound may increase in future. You can contact a good repairing shop & ask for repairing.

Best to take to a local shop for an estimate. You may need to replace the whole screen assembly. There are YouTube videos on how to replace a Chromebook screen provided you can buy the part yourself.
