What did you mean linked with another server/host? Once it is downloaded means, now it is a standalone object. Are you writing any code? If so, what language/script are you using now. Please come back with more details.

***forgot to mention the server can get your IP and contact you to the host who's making it and can spy on you and delete files and hardware without your knowledge.

What have you written, if understood correctly, some kind of hacking/malware functions occurred there. Is there installed any type of good anti-virus? How did it possible, that an app resides inside a server without proper permission? What OS is there. Are you an admin person to take care all of these situations. More details will help to resolve your issue.

Hi, Yep I have a good security standing and am aware of most situations out there but i have come across apps like BD Net Injector and there's many can't be dedicated by security. Hope you you did get my point because the only solution I got from the web that you installed a proper Port checker!

Portchecker is the best option because even the properties will not tell what you want to know.

Hello Jaideep, Well that's what I could find. From what I can tell from your writing your not understanding the problem and your not been serious so please let others handle it.

@tomxxx: You mentioned a "hacking tool". Are you trying to create one or prevent one from running on your system? You can get some o.k. protection for free with apps like AVG. IF you are looking for better , real-time protection you will have to buy something. Also another layer is to run a good firewall application as well as the anti virus.

Hi ToddN2000, Yep I did mentioned a hacking tool, nah am not creating one am i have come across a tool called NjRat can make a server as an exe on your system and then you can change the icon to something else not recognized as a threat after that he as ''host'' will upload that trap for someone to download as song or a picture or txt. After you download that song or that picture or whatever it will connect to the NjRat hacking tool. That's what I was asking there's many tools can do that kind of process I was asking how can you know and protect your self from those traps. Thanks for all the ones who helped and replied back.

@tomxxx: If you request to download something that you think is an image but it executes as a program, then it isn't an image -- it's an executable of some sort. If it's thought to be an image simply because it has an extension such as .JPG or .MP4, then that's where the problem is because the extension does not determine what kind of file it is.

What you use to check the integrity of downloaded files is a good Anti-Virus (A/V) product possibly in addition to a good malware scan program (though I've never had problem malware get past any A/V product I've used).

And what does BD2.Net Injector have to do with this thread anyway? (I think it can give false-positives in many A/V products, but that seems a natural byproduct of the product's function. Maybe that's why you mentioned it.)
