I've been using a IMAP mail service which has been moving junk email messages to an IMAP folder that's called junk mail. Can I change Outlook so that it uses the junk folder for actual 'junk' instead of the default?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.
In newer versions of Outlook, you can change the level of filtering on which emails are sent to the “Junk” folder, and you also can elect to delete emails automatically instead of sending them to the Junk folder.

To change the filtering, you go to “Mail” on the “Home” tab and find “Junk E-mail Options.” On the “Options” tab, you can set filtering from none to low, high or “Safe Lists Only.”

To automatically delete junk mails, you check the box on the “Options” tab that says “Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of moving it to the Junk E-mail folder.”
