Hi there

I have a presentation which will contain a countdown timer measured in days.

How do I set the timer to reduce by 1 day every 24 hours automatically?

Kind regards

Tom

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think this You Tube video on how to add a countdown timer to a PPT presentation may be the exact match for what you are looking for. Their example is for the grand opening of a hotel.

There is a great help from MS Office Help Menu. This is a .chm file where you can ask or search your queries and it describes in details of issues.

My first thought is to insert (insert->object->Excel spreadsheet) an Excel spreadsheet.

one cell has the formula =today(),  a second cell has your target date (i.e. 01/31/19)   a third cell has the formula =days(cell1,cell2). Hide the first two cells and arrange the format so that only the third cell shows.

The Excel option is also a good choice if you want to use it in multiple  places. Then there is only one place to maintain the timer and it's just referenced in each PPT you want.
