Career with ErLang Programming Language

I'm an iOS mobile application developer. At my workplace management requested to move into ErLang programming. I would like to know how the career will be with it. Please guide me with information.

I would be careful focusing on just one language. As we’ve seen, languages come and go. Instead, learn multiple languages (perhaps one main language and two to three others) and keep up with your continuing education. You never know, you might want to pivot in your career and focus on other areas of IT.

    Personally I have never heard of the language. It may be a newer language and not widespread. I don't think I have even seen a local job posting for it.

    Not knowing where you are located it may be hard to tell. Check some of the job posting to sites to see how many openings are in your local area. If there are a lot, then it may be a good career choice.

    Learning Erlang programming is a much better investment in your future than further investing time in other languages. Erlang program is used in large parts on the server side specially for scale & fault tolerant. If you have some knowledge in Java, that helps to learn this language quickly.
