Cannot add favorites in Internet Explorer 11

I'm using Internet Explorer 11 and I can't seem to add any favorites. I keep getting this error message every time: Unable to create "favorite's shortcut name" Access is denied. What can I do?

You can try this

Disable UAC (Control panel, User accounts, User Account control settings, Never notify).

Add favorites should work.

Now Restart System and  Enable UAC.

Favorites should still work.

    By default, IE's Favorites folder is saved in the C:\Users\<yourusername>\Favorites. Just check if it is moved to other location by mistake or change it's permissions etc.
