I use the Wi-Fi at my work to access the internet. I have a login and password through their WatchGuard system and am authorized to use the internet here. My question is, when I access the internet from my phone can the IT guys see what I'm looking at? The concern doesn't lie with me looking at things I shouldn't be, it is more when I need to access banking information I do not want those guys having that information. Can they see my bank info when I logon and if so, how can I protect myself from sharing that private information? Also, I realize I can mitigate it by using my personal internet or cell data, however, there are times when that is not an option and I must access from work. Thank you.

Your IT staff can probably view where you're going on that network. It should all be spelled out in a written policy backed by management that you've agreed to. Yet, that rarely happens. Even if they can see which websites you're going to, odds are good that they're not going to be able to see the actual data you send/receive because most banking websites and apps use TLS to encrypt everything going across the wire or the airwaves.

Yes, they can know web sites that which you surf. And they may know your banking website name/ IP, but I think they can not get private info (like balance/ fund transfer etc) from your mobile data, until they know the wi-fi password. You can make your password more complex.

They can track your web traffic. Unless they use a key logger they most likely will not be able to see your account number and gain access to check your balances. If in doubt, wait till you get home to do your banking.
