V6R1 of OS I am unable to connect or get a sign-on via 5250 emulation

Software/Hardware used:
I am running V6R1 on a model 515 with a LAN Console. Connecting via CA was never a problem until it was. Now I can not connect. I get a E0001 error and to the right of it I get "F8 F7 C4 F3". I tried to connect via TELNET but it fails. I can connect via iNavigator. I can ping the 400. Host servers and telnet are started. I have not hit the usage limit. System values are unchanged, auto-config etc ate set correctly. I am unsure what to check next.

Try to use the NETSTAT command to confirm the ports are in a listening state.

Was this PC successfully connecting in the past? And is this really a "Client Access" PC, or is it actually using a later version of the product? Is the PC firewall configured to allow connections?

it's possible it may be a proxy address issue

You can check out the IBM page

It's nor for your specific issue but has some trouble shooting tips that may help.

If you are using auto config for your sessions, what is the current number of devices configured and what is the max number of devices parameter set at ? Is this the only device that is having issues connecting ?

    I am using 'autoconfig'.
This error occurs on all PCs.
    There is no proxy server.
It was working on all PCs until suddenly it did not.
I have tried using a specific device id and confirmed it was in a 'vary on pending' state.
    QINTER is active.
I am using iSeries Access 6.0 however I have tried telnet as well. With telnet I get a blank screen and eventually it return to the command prompt.

This morning I installed a twinax controller and freed up the CMN05, which had been dedicated to the LAN Console. I then changed the ethernet line resource from CMN06 to CMN05. The results were the same.

Very strange for it to stop out of the blue..The only other things I can thin of off the top of my head is make sure the subsystem is not been held by accident. Check the devices you have configured, manually and by autoconfig. Use the command, it lists 55 devices per page. We have a total of 1304 devices. Another possibility not having sufficient memory to support the number of devices.

I have initialized and reloaded the server. The thought being that it was either a software issue or a hardware issue. I am unsure if the firmware is reloaded once the system is initialized, but I believe it is. This however did not fix the problem.
I have come to the conclusion that it is a hardware issue, even though it does not report in as failed.
Today I installed another Ethernet card. I have configured it and now have OPs Console (on T5) and the network back up and running.
