Can I see what's in a SAVF without restoring the entire SAVF?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can use the command   DSPSAVF

This will give you a list of the objects in the SAVF.

At that point, for files you can take option 5 to display a list of members

Like Charlie said the command DSPSAVF will show the objects and members information in the file. If you want to see the actual data in the files saved, you would need to restore the SAVF. If you are unsure of the data, restore it to a temp library to review it. then delete the temp library after your are done.
