Without installation of proper driver this is next to impossible. Also the both have capable the same technology, means hardware. Why you are not going for Wi-Fi rather than bluetooth? Please come back with more details. Also it depends on OS and printer model / manufacturer.

It is quite simple if both the devices in question are Bluetooth enabled and it is 'on'. Any active Bluetooth enabled device searches for the other devices active within the permissible vicinities. There are active bt devices and similarly, there are passive bt devices. Active devices are smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. And passive devices are like bt speakers, bt printers etc. Any to bt devices need to 'pair' to sync with each other in order to talk to each other and perform desired operations. You can easily pair passive devices to an active device with the help of the active device. Once they are paired you can perform desired operations.

You need to make sure Bluetooth connectivity is turned on for both devices. Then it fairly simple. Just follow the manual for the device you are trying to connect to the computer. If you still have a problem report back with the computer type, the OS it's running and what type of device you are having the issue with..I've never had an issue yet with things like setting up Bluetooth Xmas trees, speakers and others.
