Hi,
You will easily block pendrives by the using of few easy steps.
You have need to modify the start value in following registry key to 4(original is 3):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

This will block the USB storage devices but the usb mouse, keyboard etc will remain enabled. For more info about How can I prevent users from connecting to a USB storage device read this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823732

You have to modify the start value in following registry key to 4 actually it may be 3. It blocks usb storage but the usb mouse/ keyboard etc. etc. will be remain enabled.
But before doing that, for safety purpose, please take registry backups or if possible take all necessary backups of your data/ files/ folders.
