Based on what I am seeing in the question, I would say that a BIOS update was done, and the update failed. More information is needed. If it is failed BIOS update because it does seem to come out of the boot sequence and gives a message and then reboots, then BIOS will have to be replaced, or the system board may have to replaced.

In all of my years with computer since the early 80's I do not think I have ever done a BIOS update..AND I have had some computers for a lot of years.. I still have one using Win98.. Rarely boot that on up anymore.. Just has some old game that wont run on today's system because of the processor speed. That still on original BIOS.

I still see it a lot. You have to connect to OEM for the system and have the OEM check for updates. This CAN include BIOS Updates. I see this with Toshiba, and HP / Compaq / Intel. HP / Compaq / Toshiba unless blocked used to do it on their own. Microsoft has blocked this on some systems.

Is your system falls in loop that is reboot automatically frequently? If that case, it is needed to check with a good antivirus software like MWAV.

Moreover, what OS is there? Is there antivirus installed? If yes, is it up-to-date? Have you tried to reboot in Safe mode? Without adequate knowledge it may be a mess while working in BIOS. Also If the system is under warranty, it is not recommended to open computer case.
