BIOS freezes everytime I exit it

MY bios always freezes each time I exit it. It doesn't matter what choice I made. But the settings that I change is still saved even though I push the reset button or unplug it to restart the computer. What seems to cause that problem? And how can I fix it. My CPU is an Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz and the Bios is Phoenix FirstBios Desktop version 2 for IBM.

What are you trying to change in your BIOS? How often are you doing this? Usually once is all you need to do unless you are adding a drive a want to change your boot sequence. How old is your computer, it may be possible that the battery on the motherboard is no longer good.

Have you updated your BIOS firmware? That's a possible fix if the vendor has a more recent version. You may also consider calling the manufacturer for their assistance.
