Barcode printers
I have created a printer file where one of the fields is a barcode. I am using barcode keyword in the DDS. I would like to print my report as landscape but it does not work. The barcode prints perfectly, but fields in position >132 disappear and the page is flipped to portrait. I do not have an *IPDS printer, but specifying my printer file as dev type = *AFPDS. What is wrong?

Been a long time since I worked in this area but then this would preclude what you're doing.

I do not have an *IPDS printer

You want to do a wrkjob on the writer. In the job log you might find useful messages when you send this spool file.

What type of printer are you using?

*AFPDS is not a problem (we have no *IPDS printers yet print barcodes all the time).

Have you tried the PAGRTT parameter?

thanks for replying.  I have solved my problem.

I create the printer file with a device type = *AFPDS, but the automatic rotation of the page does not happen if there is a barcode on the page.

So when I create the printer file I change the 'degree of page rotation' = 90 and it works.
