Trying to print Bar codes on a Non IPDS Printer, with using Output specs and imbedded Hex printer controls.
We have several Lexmark 2491 printers that are Bar Code capable, but are Not IPDS. They are currently used for printing regular Bagging labels, we wanted to add a Bar code to this label.
I externalized the o Specs into a dds and added the Bar code control and it works fine if it was a lazer printer but not for a line printer where we have continuous forms labels.
I found a document that talked about adding Hex control characters to the output that the printer would recognize and print the Bar Code
