Auto combine

I want to combine two fields. One is the two letter initials of the tutor, the other is the event date. I saw in the manual that i can use NumToText to make the date text rather than a number, but I have tried many variations of writing this simple formula without it working - help please.

Thanks everyone, I did manage to resolve it. It was many years since I had last used this program and I was over complicating the issue. I kept playing until I got there.

Post a sample of the code you are trying to use. It most likely is just a slight formatting of the statement that is off. We are glad to help you learn and fix issues but you need to show us you have tried the task on your own.

As suggested by Todd, you need to post the code you have tried, but you also need to post the exact and complete error message(s) you are getting.

That will make it easier for people trying to help.

You need to have both the fields in text format. I hope initials is already in text format. Check if date is in date format or text format. If former, then change date format to text format, else just add both the fields in a new field.
