Audio combining Y cable won’t work

I have a Y cable that takes two audio inputs and turns them into one output for my headphones. I use this with my blue yeti and my Logitech s220 speakers. Individually, they work fine with my headphones and mic, but the moment I plug them in together there's a ringing noise. Sorry I'm so bad at explaining things.

I think your issue might be trying to split the mic output to two sources.

1. Powered speakers
2. Non powered headphones.
The audio card may not provide a strong enough signal.
If your speakers are connected to this Y cable configuration the you must only get sound from the mic through them and no sound from the computer itself. Or am I still missing something. I don’t know why you would want speakers to work at the same time you are wearing headphones.

Never heard of a "Y" cable being used that way. I know yo can have a male connector plug into a device like a computer or MP3 player an the other end of the "Y" has 2 female type connectors for connecting 2 pairs of headphones. What does your current cable look like connector wise?

It has two male audio connectors, and one female audio connector (3.5mm)

1 male into my speakers, 1 male in to my mic line out.

What is in the female end ? I never had luck doing what I think you are trying to do. I always had to switch cables around any time I switched from my speakers to my gaming headset. It was not a big deal as my ports were on the tower case in the front.

My headphones are in the female end. I want to hear both my speakers and a live feed of my mic.

It's a Blue Yeti. It connects to my PC through a USB A 2.0
