So, I currently have an Asus laptop but, about two days ago, my power button completely broke. The keyboard is working but not the power button. Should I just go to a repair shop to fix it? Or is there a DIY way that I can do? Thank you.

It is possible to replace a lot of the parts like keyboard, screen, fans and more yourself. Check you tube for a video for your model and see if you are up to the task.  They can be involved and require special tools. For the piece of mind I take mine to my local repair shop.

Is it under warranty? Is this laptop old or new? It is better to replace the power button first. If you set the system to sleep when it is not using, use the keyboard to awaken it. Or if you set prior that, the keyboard's power management setting is set to "Allow this device to wake the computer" or similar like that in Device Manager. It is also needed to change Power Settings so that the laptop is put to sleep when you close the lid rather than power down. Keep in mind, if it is still under warranty or not, better contact Asus' service center and ask for repair.
