AS/400 service program signature issue

Hello All, I have a module in which I have 3 procedures which is attached to a service program. My question here is now I am trying to make one of the parameter in one of the procedure as optional (options(*nopass) (to be noted - no new procedure is being added) however when I compile (create module) and create the service program the signature is getting changed and also the order in which the procedures exports is getting changed. (to be clear the 1st procedure appears at the bottom of the list instead of appearing at the top) As I am not adding any new procedure, can I still retain the old signature? And also need help on getting the procedure export list displayed correctly.

Software/Hardware used:
DB2/400, AS400

Since the parameter list has changed, the signature should also change. Signatures wouldn't be very valuable otherwise; that's one of their fundamental reasons to exist.

You can, however, recreate a service program at any time and specify the signature that you want as well as the order of the exports. In this case, that might be your best option.

Without seeing the original and changed interfaces, it's hard to be certain.
