Spool File
Hi. I have a report which is regenerated in AS/400 and at the same time we can choose a format which is normally CSV format and send in user's email. The issue here is in our spool file, the report shows the correct tome however when we open the Excel file it didn't capture the correct Time, EXAMPLE: In spool file report it shows 12:11. But when opening the report in Excel, it shows 12:01. By the way, the time is the last column of the report. The width of the printer file report is 255. What could be the possible cause and how to fix it?

Is this a one-time occurance or a re-occuring issue? Do other times do the same thing, or is it just this one time?

We need a better understanding of your complete process.

Where is the TIme value coming from?

Is the time only in the heading or is it in the detail records?

IS there more than one step in the process? First print report, the second send CSV?

If you open the .csv file in another tool (like Notepad or Wordpad) from the email, does the problem occur?

Try another editor and see if it's correct. If it is then it's the same issue I have had for a long time. For some reason Excel likes to mess up date and times being imported. If you still have issues you may have to make them char fields and use the full MM/DD/YY HH;MM:SS formats.
