We have two logical files with unique keyword using the same physical file without unique keyword. Can we insert the Duplicate Records through PF

    The unique constraint placed on a logical file impacts all of the records in the physical file. None of those records can violate the unique rule on the keys of the logical.

    If there is a unique constraint on another logical with different keys, the constrain further restricts the physical file.

    If you are initially compiling a logical with unique constraint on a physical which contains rows that violate the unique rule, the compile will fail.

    No. The use of the unique in the logical will prevent the insertion of a duplicate record in the physical or any other associated logical.

    It wouldn't do much good to have a unique index over a file if you could insert non-unique records. I haven't tried it, but it might be possible to have non-unique records in the PF if the LFs had Select/Omit specs that excluded the duplicates.
