AS/400 field won’t display

A field with no dependent indicators is not displaying on the screen. It is being populated in the program but there is no display of it. This is not an empty field, it is litterally not going on the screen (no cursor position). What could cause this?

If you post you DDS Specs, we might be able to see what the issue is.

My assumption would be that another field is overlaying it; or the field that is populating it, is not the field you are really wanting to use.

I agree with Charlie, it most likely is being overlayed. If you have run this using debug, and are sure there is a value for this field, that is the mos likely reason.
Post the full DDS for that record format and we will take a look.

To have a cursor position to the field it would have to be input capable. Also if you can examine the contents of the field (value) you should check that it does not start with a value under hex '40' those are special diplay codes for 5250 displays, including Non Display x'27'

Is this field defined as input only? That may be another reason.
Without seeing the DDS specs we are just guessing.

    Is it a hidden field?
