If you are using Client Access as an emulator I don’t think there is a way to shut this off. If you are referring to the data below the line with the row/column in the lower right. You can turn the row/column off but you cannot hide the entire line. To hide just the row/column got to Edit / Preferences / Display setup. Scroll down under category and look for Viewing and click. In the right panel you can click the radio button to turn off the row/column indicator on OIA.

This is a strange request, can I ask why you want to remove / hide this? I’ve never heard of this kind of request before.

The ‘Expanded OAI’ – which, from babydoll1’s description, is the issue – is, in normal use, a bloody waste of screen real-estate & a distraction.  It’s even more of a pointless nuisance than the ‘Quick Connect Bar’.

    Couple of questions:

    1. Why do you want to get rid of this information?

    2. How are you accessing the AS/400? Reason I as is your reference to 3270. That is generally a mainframe display station. 5250 is AS400.

Right click in the window header section & click on Hide Expanded OAI. Don't forget to do a File > Save to keep the setting.

For some reason Client Access defaults to Show Expanded OAI & I can't for the life of me see why.
