In my source file (Qddssrc/qclsrc) have a 100 source members (PF/LF/CL/RPG). I need to copy those source members into my desktop. I'm using create savf and savobj to copy all members in one file. After that using FTP to transfer these sav file into my desktop. But when I open the file , it will showes only binary information. Please advise/suggest for any alternative for getting the all source members in a source file to desktop.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

What are you trying to accomplish by putting them on your desktop? Are you looking to be able to view the source in a text editor ? If it’s just for the purpose of backing it up, you could do the CRTSAVF, then SAVOBJ and try to copy to desktop using operations navigator. If you use FTP remember you need to specifiy BIN after connecting / login. You will not be able to open the SAVF on your desktop like if you were using PDM.
