Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

i dont know what you mean by “VALID” user list, but….

1) DspUsrPrf to an *OUTFILE
2) use IBM query to pick and choose fields and sort them how you want for reporting.

i do this weekly to see my users who are “expired”, “locked out” and to maintain my list of group profiles and specific user access such as SECOFR, SECADM, etc.

Be sure to do this when you are logged on as QSECOFR or have the authority to all USRPRFs

The DSPOBJD command is good for basic, straightforward uses. The direct method is to call the List Authorized Users (QSYLAUTU) API. (On larger systems, the Open List of Authorized Users (QGYOLAUS) API may be necessary.) Sufficient authority (*READ) is still required for each profile that is to be listed. Tom

Not sure what you mean by "is this right Select User"
Can you give us some more information on what you are trying to do? There may be an easier way. You can get the user ID from an ILE/RPGLE program as well.

@jessicamary : That site seems to be unrelated to the OP. Previous responses seem to be on target.

@jessicamary : I agree with Raven. That link appears to be more for building an email database of users on the AS/400 rather than finding the profiles of the users who log into the system for work purposes.

@ToddN2000 : To me, it looked like a commercially available database of e-mail addresses of "AS/400" sites. But I didn't explore much.
