Anyone know how to fix iTunes link to backup to my hard drive?

I wanted to backup my phone to my D drive instead of my C drive, and I watched a video that said to enter a line of code into the command prompt to link the 'backup' folder in mobilesync to another folder called backup in my hard drive but it wasn't working, so I deleted the 'backup' folder that I linked to my hard drive and created one that was the exact same, but I think I deleted the link along with it. I entered the same link, but the command prompt returns:  Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

Does anyone know how I can fix this so iTunes will automatically backup my phone to my hard drive?

There are a number of good guides on this process. Here’s an example. After trying one come back if you still have issues and provide as much detail as you can.
