I am entering the clouds new. Akin to disaster management, do they have provision for thunder storms and lightnings in cloud computing? If a lightning strike, how would our cloud system be affected?

It all depends on your specific vendor but a common element of cloud computing is that systems and resources are distributed across the country or the globe rather than being located in one data center. This helps minimize the impact of lightning strike or other environmental disaster.

no doubt it is distributed  topology but when there are too many migrations this possibility is there and we should provide for that
over the years sometimes the change is  so slow one cannot notice.I shall give geographic example. In 1969( UN demographic book) Rentachintala in  Guntur istrict of Andhra Pradesh, India and Jacobbabad in  Pakistan were the hottest spot in the  world.  That has now   shifted to  Rajahmundry, East Godavai district  of Ap mere 230Km from Visakhapatnam from where I am writing this. Similar is the  change in  the length of iron rod due to creep. Slow changes unlike the fast exodus from Syria are  un- noticeable. These are what we  can take care of before something strikes.Mother Nature hints  at that.
