Hello all, I have a .DB file on my local laptop. I need to access the data on it. On researching it I learned that I could do that using the DB Viewer software or a software called DB browser. Is that right? Or would I need to load it into a database & then query the data? If so, could I get any insights on how I could do that? Thank you for your help!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you know this is truly a database file, then these programs may help you out.

SQLite
Microsoft Access
libreoffice

There are other programs and applications that use this file extension as well such as.

Skype uses format for chat history

and GSC Game World games in games like
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, and others ;they are similar to .GCF files used by Valve-based games
Or you can do DBF Recovery manually, which is a complete solution.
