What's the difference between ceramic and electrolytic capacitors?

The ceramic capacitors are constituted from a sandwich of conductor sheets alternated with ceramic material.  The electrolytic capacitors are formed from two metallic sheets, cylindrically wrapped, that are separated by a thin oxide layer (got through an electrolytic process).
